Fresh, Local, and Accessible:
Connecticut boasts over 100 farmers markets, certified farm stands, and mobile markets offering fresh produce, friendly vendors, and a vibrant community atmosphere.
Farmers Market Nutrition Program (FMNP):
Many Connecticut farmers' markets participate in the FMNP program. This program allows eligible individuals, including WIC recipients, seniors over 60, and qualifying disabled residents, to purchase fresh fruits, vegetables, and other approved items using benefits.

Nearly all farmers’ markets in Connecticut are affiliated with the Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program (FMNP) which serves participants of Women, Infant, and Children (WIC) and seniors who are over the age of 60 and meet income eligibility guidelines with checks to purchase fresh fruits, vegetables, cut herbs and honey.
