• Notice of Radioactive Materials and Sources of Ionizing Radiation Permanent Regulation

  Notice of a regulatory amendment to adopt a permanent replacement for emergency regulations effective on 25 September 2025 and scheduled to expire on 24 March 2026. In doing so, this proposal maintains the Department’s enforcement authority over the use of radioactive materials and other sources of ionizing radiation. A public hearing was not requested by October 17, 2025, therefore the public hearing originally scheduled for October 30, 2025 has been cancelled. Written comments are due by November 3, 2025.

  Notice of a public hearing concerning applications by GB II New Haven LLC for a Title V Operating permit renewal. A virtual informational hearing will be held on December 4, 2025. Written comments will be accepted after the informational public hearing until close of business on December 11, 2025.

• Town of Fairfield, DS-202207228

  Notice of tentative determination to approve an application submitted by the Town of Fairfield for proposed activity that includes construction of two flood control dams at Fairchild Wheeler Golf Course to attenuate the flood flows downstream of the site and reduce the frequency and severity of flooding along the Rooster River. This proposed activity will impact approximately 14,950 square feet of Londons Brook and associated wetlands. Written comments due by November 13, 2025.

  Notice of tentative determination to approve an application submitted by Gwenmor Marina, Inc. for proposed activity that includes dredging with off site upland disposal, construction of a new fixed pier, ramp, floating main dock and finger floats. This activity will affect aquatic and coastal resources and tidal wetlands. Written comments due by December 1, 2025.

  Notice of tentative determination to approve an application submitted by New Britain Water Department and Kensington Fire District for proposed activity that includes the increase of water transfer from the currently authorized 1.61 MGD to 2.75 MGD from New Britain Water Department to the Kensington Fire District. This activity will affect Whigville Reservoir and Whigville Brook, White Bridge Wells (and nearby groundwaters), White Bridge Pond, Coppermine Brook, Polkville Avenue Brook, Wolcott Reservoir and Roaring Brook, Wasel Reservoir, Hart Ponds, and Mattabasset River, Shuttle Meadow Reservoir and Willow Brook, Associated wetlands and groundwaters to the above-mentioned waters.
