CHEAPR Board Members

The CHEAPR Board consists of the DEEP Commissioner as the chairperson, the Commissioner of Consumer Protection, the president of the Connecticut Green Bank or their respective designees, and six appointed members meeting the ascribed qualifications in G.G.S. section 22a-202(a).

DEEP is using a broad-based recruitment effort to attract diverse candidates to apply for open seats on the CHEAPR Board. The CHEAPR Board was established by section 22a-202 of the Connecticut General Statutes (C.G.S.) and appointed members must meet the ascribed qualifications in G.G.S. section 22a-202(a) as summarized in the CHEAPR Board Member Appointment Requirements.

As of 2024, appointments to the CHEAPR Board are being handled through an open application process. To submit an application for consideration, interested candidates should visit the DEEP Board & Council Members application page.

CHEAPR Board Meetings

CHEAPR Board meetings are now scheduled to occur quarterly via Zoom. All Board meetings are scheduled from 3:00-5:00 PM and Zoom meeting information may be accessed below, on DEEP's Calendar of Events, and on the Secretary of State's Public Meeting Calendar.
