About Internships

Read time: 6 minutes

Interns work closely with COA staff to gain hands-on experience helping the arts flourish in Connecticut. They are unpaid and typically work 8-15 hours per week during school semesters.

If you intern for us, you may support:

  • Our programs and services, including professional development workshops for artists and arts administrators
  • Special events, such as our annual Arts Heroes Awards

Our interns typically help us:

  • Prepare presentations and marketing materials. Graphic design skills are a plus!
  • Build and strengthen relationships with members of the arts and culture community, staff, and public officials
  • Conduct research on arts and culture activities in cities and towns across the state
  • Complete administrative and clerical tasks
