Who can nominate a singer-songwriter for State Troubadour?


We are not currently accepting State Troubadour nominations or applications.


Any Connecticut resident may nominate one singer-songwriter who embodies the characteristics of the State Troubadour role. Please note that people cannot nominate themselves and we do not give this award posthumously.


Nominators complete an online nomination form.


Our online nomination form asks for the following information. You cannot save and exit the form. Please be ready to complete the entire form in one session and submit it.


Required information:


  • Your name, email address, and complete street address (street address, municipality, state, ZIP code)
  • Contact information for the nominee:
    • Name
    • Email address
    • Street address
    • Phone number (optional)
  • Your relationship to this nominee (relative, fan, professional, etc.)
  • Why this individual is uniquely qualified to serve as State Troubadour
  • How the nominee's musicianship and performances have inspired you.

State Troubadour
