Creative U is a free two-day creative professional development conference designed to equip creatives with the tools, resources and community to elevate their crafts and careers. Poetry Out Loud National Competition will be held in Washington DC on May 6-7. Available to stream on Youtube.

Poetry Out Loud is a national poetry recitation competition that teaches high school students about great works of poetry, develops public performance skills, and gives them a chance to win up to $20,000. Lia Munoz will be representing CT at the Poetry Out Loud National Competition in Washington, DC on May 6-7. The competition will be available to live stream on the Poetry Out Loud Youtube channel.

Poetry Out Loud Overview Registration for Poetry Out Loud is now open for schools and youth organizations. 
Poetry Ourselves is hosting a poetry writing workshop at the Glass House in New Canaan for high school poets, taught by Dom McLennon. For more information email Tekowa.Omara-Otunnu@ct.gov

Now accepting poetry submissions for the Poetry Ourselves workshop at the Glass House! The workshop will explore descriptive writing and the application of poetry in music. This workshop will be taught by Dom McLennon of BROCKHAMPTON in collaboration with Telefunken. Submissions are open to all high-school students in CT. Click here to access the submission form.
