You are required to complete a water test as part of your Cottage Food Operator license application.
Private water supplies must be tested to confirm that it is safe for drinking. The analysis must include E.coli, Total Coliform, Nitrates and Nitrites.
If you plan to use well water, please submit a recent water test. The Department of Public Health approves drinking water labs in Connecticut. Please review the approved list of labs to arrange testing.
