Evaluation and Impact Unit

Evaluation and Impact Unit

DAPA formed the Evaluation and Impact Unit to understand how agencies are making a difference in the lives of their clients and communities. As federal policy moves towards using and generating evidence about the effectiveness of specific programs, states are also finding value in understanding the outcomes of their work. The Evaluation and Impact Unit is a first step in ensuring that state agencies are investing in programs that move the needle. With strong evaluation, state agencies can focus on what works and direct resources to the people and places in greatest need.
