Overview
The Connecticut On-Line Law Enforcement Communications Teleprocessing (COLLECT) System is a Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection (DESPP) application used across Connecticut to access state and federal law enforcement information.
COLLECT is available only to authorized law enforcement and criminal justice agencies and supports more than 180 local, state, and federal agencies.
There are more than 15,000 certified users of the COLLECT system within the law enforcement and criminal justice community.
Systems and Information Access
COLLECT provides access to in-state files as well as national systems, including:
- National Crime Information Center (NCIC)
- National Law Enforcement Telecommunications System (NLETS)
NCIC stores criminal justice data for the United States and Canada. NLETS provides communication between states and allows users to access motor vehicle and criminal history information.
Through NLETS, users can also send messages to one or more states or broadcast information nationwide.

- Protective Order Registry (POR)
- Department of Correction (DOC)
