What do I need to do to continue to sell THC-infused beverages?
Not all businesses will be allowed to continue to sell THC-infused beverages. Effective July 1, 2024, only cannabis retail establishments (dispensary facilities, hybrid retailers and retailers) and package stores with a waiver can offer THC-infused beverages (beverages containing THC) for retail sale.

Is there a limit to the number of retailers or micro-cultivators a town or city can have?
A municipality must approve zoning to allow for cannabis establishments, including retailers and micro-cultivators, to operate in their community. For information about zoning restrictions or approvals in a particular municipality, please contact that municipality directly.

Public Act 23-166 allows for the sale of hemp manufacturer products at licensed dispensary facilities, hybrid retailers and retailers.

When will retail sales of cannabis begin?

The employer must have a reasonable suspicion, based on the totality of the circumstances, that the observed employee is under the influence of drugs or alcohol which adversely affects or could adversely affect such employee’s job performance.

When do I need to have the exact location of my cannabis establishment set?
Evidence of a right to occupy the location at which the cannabis establishment will be located is a requirement of the final stage of licensure and will be required before a final license is issued. It is not necessary to indicate the establishment’s location in the lottery application.
