The Management Advisory Council has cancelled the July 16, 2008 MAC meeting. The Department of Administrative Services is offering a Managers Briefing that same morning and it was deemed appropriate to cancel the MAC meeting to allow council members to attend the Managers Briefing. Special Act No. 09-6 extends to managers some of the provisions of the SEBAC agreement. In particular, it has been noted that, while the bill extended the health care coverage changes and provided the Retirement Incentive Program and schedule reductions (furlough days), it did not extend the two-year layoff protections of the SEBAC agreement to managers.
