Capacity Development Reports
During 2022, CT DPH revised its Capacity Development Strategy which was originally written and approved by EPA Region 1 in the year 2000. Much has changed since the first capacity development strategy was written within the landscape for public water systems. New state and federal rules and rule revisions, emerging contaminants such as PFAS, increased funding for drinking water infrastructure as well as a focus on asset management. The revision to CT DPH’s strategy incorporates these new challenges and opportunities and creates a framework for how the state will continue its important work to create and maintain viable levels of technical, managerial and financial capacity for new and existing public water systems.
