Connecticut Information Sharing System - CISS

Blueprint Project

The CJIS Blueprint Project assessed the current business and technological capabilities of CJIS partner agencies, identified future needs, and developed a plan to guide improvements.

Project Approach

MTG Management Consultants, LLC (MTG) worked with CJIS partners to complete this effort in two phases.

In the first phase, MTG developed an “As-Is” Logical Model to document how information is currently shared across agencies.

In the second phase, MTG created a “To-Be” Logical Model to describe the desired future state for information sharing.

These two models helped identify the gaps between the current and future environments. The results are documented in the Gap Analysis.

Project Outcomes

The Gap Analysis provided the foundation for developing system requirements for the Connecticut Information Sharing System (CISS).

The CJIS Blueprint Project is complete, and all project deliverables have been met.
