Social Media Link
Insert a Social Media Rendering
1. Choose a sublayout placeholder area to add the Social Media rendering into.
a. Optimal sublayout will be a 3-3-3-3-sublayout if you wish it to display like example above.
2. Select the Social Media Link tab, then select the Social Media Link rendering.
3. Click the Select button. The Select Associated Content dialog box appears.
4. Select the Social Media item, then select the Create link.
5. Enter the name of the Social Media.
6. The Social Media Links rendering will appear in the page, ready to edit.
7. Save your changes.
Edit a Social Media Link Item
The Social Media Links rendering is made up of:
• Title
• Description
• Links
1. From the Social Media Link toolbox, select the Insert social media link icon. The Insert Item dialog box appears.
2. Enter the name of the Social Media Link you wish to add.
3. Select OK.
a. If you have not saved your changes, a message will appear asking if you want to Stay on page or Leave the page.
b. Select Stay on Page.
4. Save your changes.
5. Select the social media title text to add a title.
6. Save your changes.
7. Select the Edit Social Media Links icon from the toolbox.
a. The social media links you just created are displaying in the left box.
b. Move the social media links you want displayed to the right box by double-clicking the titles.
c. Reorder them by selecting the tile and clicking on the up or down arrow to the right of the screen.
d. Select the alignment of the Social Media Links: center (default), left, or right.
8. Save your changes.
9. Select one of the social media link items to edit. A toolbox displays.
10. Select the blue cubes icon.
11. Select the social media link image from the Media Library.
12. Select the insert external link option to hyperlink to the social media website.
13. Enter the social media type in the Link Description field.
i. Enter the full URL (i.e., https://business.ct.gov).
ii. Change the Target Window dropdown to New Browser.
14. Select Insert.
15. Select OK.
16. The page will refresh with your changes saved and displayed.
17. Repeat steps 9-15 until all the social media links are completed.
18. Save your changes.
