Featured Content Card
Insert a Featured Content Card Item
1. Choose a sublayout placeholder area to add the Featured Content Card rendering into.
a. Optimal sublayout will be a 4-4-4-sublayout if you wish it to display like example above.
2. Select the Featured Content Card tab, then select the Featured Content Card rendering.
3. Click the Select button. The Select Associated Content dialog box appears.
4. Select the Featured Content Card item, then select the Create link.
5. Enter the name of the Featured Content Card.
6. The Featured Content Card rendering will appear in the page, ready to edit.
Edit a Featured Content Card Item
The Featured Content Card rendering is made up of:
• Image
• Title
• Description
• Link
1. From the Featured Content Card toolbox, select the edit link icon.
2. Modify the fields displayed:
a. Show CTA Link As Button – Checkbox that when selected, displays the Link text as a button.
b. Link – Hyperlinks the CTA link to any of the following items:
i. Insert link - Hyperlink to a page within a Sitecore website
ii. Insert media link - Hyperlink to a document file within the Sitecore Media Library
iii. Insert external link - Hyperlink to a website page outside of Sitecore
iv. Insert anchor - Hyperlink to an anchored title on the page
v. Insert email - Hyperlink to an email address
vi. Insert JavaScript - Hyperlink to a JavaScript file (Not Allowed)
vii. Follow - TBD (Currently does nothing)
viii. Clear - Clears the contents in the field
c. Image – Insert an image for the Featured Content Card
i. Browse - Insert or change an image found in the Media Library
ii. Properties – Modify the alt text description, image dimensions, and image spacing.
iii. Clear – Removes the existing image from the image field
iv. Refresh – Updates any changes to the image or properties
3. Select OK.
4. Click on the Featured Content Card title to change the title text.
5. Click on the Featured Content Card description to add description text.
a. You can edit the description text using the in-page editor (basic editing functions) found on the description toolbox.
b. Or select the pencil icon from the toolbox to launch the Rich Text Editor and perform more editing capabilities.
c. Select the Accept button to leave the Rich Text Editor.
6. Save your changes.
