The Social Equity Council (SEC) is working on a community reinvestment plan. In order to develop this plan, the SEC will use a multiphase approach. The goal of the community reinvestment plan is to establish a framework for reinvesting state cannabis revenues back into communities negatively impacted by the War on Drugs. The SEC will work directly with disproportionately impacted communities and stakeholders to confirm a reinvestment strategy that aligns with community needs and state requirements.

CT Social Equity Council Launches Survey to Support Community Reinvestment Initiatives

Reinvesting in communities disproportionately impacted by the war on drugs is the cornerstone of the work of the SEC. To support this reinvestment the SEC will use information gathered from this survey and a series of community conversations to develop a reinvestment plan that will bring much needed resources back into communities negatively impacted by the War on Drugs.
