Teacher of the Year Ceremony
Due to inclement weather, the Teacher of the Year Ceremony has been postponed to December 16, 2025 from 5-7pm. Doors will open at 4pm. The Ceremony will take place at the Bushnell Theater in Hartford, and the order of events will remain the same.

The Connecticut State Department of Education’s (CSDE) commitment to public school choice is evident in the different types of public school choice programming available statewide.  These options include Agricultural Science and Technology Education, Charter Schools, Connecticut Technical Education and Career System, Open Choice and Interdistrict Magnet Schools.

Apply to ASTE (Agricultural Science and Technology Education)

Apply to CTECS (Connecticut Technical Education and Career System)

Apply to a Charter School

Apply to Open Choice (Available in Hartford, Bridgeport, New Haven and their surrounding districts)

Apply to interdistrict magnet schools within the Hartford Regional School Choice Office (RSCO)
