Teacher of the Year Ceremony
Due to inclement weather, the Teacher of the Year Ceremony has been postponed to December 16, 2025 from 5-7pm. Doors will open at 4pm. The Ceremony will take place at the Bushnell Theater in Hartford, and the order of events will remain the same.

School Lunch Tray

The School Lunch Tray (SLT) is the Connecticut State Department of Education's (CSDE) weekly e-newsletter for Connecticut sponsors of the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) school nutrition programs, including the National School Lunch Program (NSLP), School Breakfast Program (SBP), Afterschool Snack Program (ASP) of the NSLP, Seamless Summer Option (SSO) of the NSLP, and Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program (FFVP). The SLT provides important guidance and resources for complying with the federal and state requirements. It also identifies deadlines for completing required activities and submitting required reports.

Connecticut sponsors of the school nutrition programs may sign up to receive the weekly SLT
e-newsletter by contacting their school nutrition team member.


Table Talk

The CSDE hosts the Table Talk webinar to review key topics and information contained in the SLT. The schedule and registration information for the Table Talk webinars are available in the SLT.
