What is the model's general approach? | A school that operates a schoolwide model may use Title I funds to upgrade its educational program. | A school that operates a targeted assistance model must use Title I funds to support specifically identified students. |
Which Title I schools are eligible to operate this model? | Any school with at least 40 percent poverty, or any school below 40 percent poverty with a waiver from the state.1 To operate a schoolwide program, an eligible school must develop a plan describing the services it will provide based on a comprehensive assessment of the school's needs.2 | Any school that does not operate a schoolwide program.3 |
