Criteria for Determining Receipt of Reallocated Funds
Letters of interest and corresponding data will be reviewed to determine a point value for each LEA applying for reallocated funds.
- Sufficient evidence of financial need (up to 3 points)
- Poverty Ratio (SAIPE), Meal eligibility, etc.
- Contextual increases in students in foster, neglected, or delinquent institutions
- Family/ Community partner/ stakeholder engagement data
- Evidence of fiscal compliance (up to four points)
- Have not returned federal funds within the last two years
- Remained within 15% carryover range
- Compliance with all drawdown and reporting deadlines
- Systemic monitoring of program outcomes
- Evidence of Internal Capacity (up to 3 points)
- LEAs existing Title I programs follow all requirements
- LEAs include a plan for monitoring Title I programs in their applications, to ensure improved outcomes for students
- LEA and School leaders have capacity to implement evidence-based programming expediently
- Project is reasonable in scope for the timeline and amount of funds
If LEAs do not submit letters of interest, funds will be distributed to eligible LEAs based on need, with priority given to LEAs with the highest percentages of students in poverty and a history of fiscal and program compliance.
