Teacher of the Year Ceremony
Due to inclement weather, the Teacher of the Year Ceremony has been postponed to December 16, 2025 from 5-7pm. Doors will open at 4pm. The Ceremony will take place at the Bushnell Theater in Hartford, and the order of events will remain the same.

Consolidated Grant Funding and Reallocation Timeline

  • By July 1, the CSDE will notify all LEAs to liquidate at least 85% of award year 2024 Title I Part A funds by September 30.
  • By October 30, the CSDE will notify LEAs if they have not met the expenditure requirements and the amount that may be subject to reallocation.
  • By December 3, LEAs must complete the ED141S Expenditure Compliance Supplement and must:
    • Enter expenditures through September 30, 2024 meeting the 85% requirement in ED141S; or
    • Enter expenditures through September 30, 2024 that did not meet the requirements in ED141S, and request a waiver by marking in the appropriate section of the report; or
    • Enter actual expenditures through September 30, 2024 & complete a budget revision for remaining funds minus the amount exceeding 15% carryover limit.
  • By January 10, 2025, CSDE will notify those LEAs with excess funds of approval of their waiver OR of the amount subject to reallocation.
  • By January 30, 2025, CSDE will invite eligible LEAs to submit a letter of interest to receive reallocated funds. All letters of interest must be emailed to Jennifer.murrihy@ct.gov no later than 12:00 PM on February 7, 2024.
  • By February 14, 2025, LEAs will be informed if they have been selected to receive reallocated funds via email.
  • LEAs receiving reallocated funds should expect to revise their Title I Part A Budget to account for the remaining funds no later than March 14, 2025.
