About the Commission

Purpose of the Commission

The Connecticut Career Pathways Commission was created to improve and better connect education and career pathways across the state.

Its goal is to ensure that all learners and workers can access high-quality, industry-aligned pathways that lead to credentials and good jobs.

This work is part of Connecticut's broader effort to strengthen its workforce, expand economic opportunity, and meet the needs of employers across high-growth industries.

The Commission will:

  • Assess Connecticut’s current education and career pathways system.
  • Engage stakeholders across the state to understand needs and barriers.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen alignment across education, workforce, and industry.
  • Develop recommendations to strengthen career pathways and expand opportunities for students and workers across Connecticut.

The Commission will develop a five-year strategic plan for the State
