The State of Connecticut, Office of Policy and Management, Adriaen’s Landing/Rentschler Field Project Office is seeking letters of interest from consultants pre-qualified by the Connecticut Department of Transportation to provide construction engineering and inspection services for construction of a pedestrian overpass over Grove Street and interstate highway ramps at Adriaen’s Landing in Hartford. The solicitation has been conducted via direct mailing only to those pre-qualified firms. All inquiries are to be directed to Peg Bray at the Adriaen’s Landing office at 860-493-2935 or via email to peg.bray@ct.gov.
Answers to substantive questions received regarding this assignment will be posted on this site beginning on May 2, 2008 and periodically updated thereafter until May 6, 2008. Interested parties are encouraged to check this site periodically for updates. The availability of plans and specifications for review will also be announced via notice on this site.
UPDATE #2 May 7, 2008:
The following is a response to questions received regarding the subject project as of May 6, 2008.
1-What is the duration of the project?
The duration of construction is estimated at 10 to 14 months.
2- What is the cost estimate for this project?
Estimated construction cost is in the range of $3 million to $5 million.
3- Do you anticipate the need for any night work?
It is anticipated that the only required night work on the project will be to set precast beams and decking.

A progress set of plans and specifications for the subject project is available for confidential viewing by interested firms at the Adriaen’s Landing/Rentschler Field Project Office, 100 Columbus Boulevard, Suite 501, Hartford. Consultants on the prequalified list should arrange to view the plans by contacting Peg Bray at 860-493-2935 or via email to peg.bray@ct.gov.
