"The Office of Policy and Management is seeking proposals from Connecticut DOT pre-qualified contractors for construction of the Grove Street Pedestrian Connector at Adriaen's Landing in Hartford. The Connector will be a 3-span continuous composite precast concrete beam structure approximately 268 feet in length and 30 feet in width. It will include landscaping, lighting and pedestrian amenities. It will be supported on four piers, each bearing on two 6-foot diameter continuous concrete columns socketed into rock. The Connector is designed to provide for continuous pedestrian movement along the esplanade level of the Connecticut Convention Center, across the proposed Connector, along the plaza of the Connecticut Science Center and to the Riverfront Recapture plaza adjoining the Founders Bridge."
