Race, ethnicity, and language data usage

Read time: 6 minutes

How will my race, ethnicity, and language data be used?

REL data is used primarily for statistical analysis and reporting to identify health care disparities, improve patient care, and ensure compliance with health care equity regulations. It's also used to tailor health care services to the unique needs of different populations.

Data also supports tools and dashboards that help healthcare providers and policy makers better understand how social drivers, including race and ethnicity, impact health outcomes across Connecticut.  Visit our CT Health Equity Dashboard to learn more.
