Certificate of Need hearings

When does OHS hold a CON public hearing?

After a Certificate of Need application is completed, a public hearing is scheduled if:

  • Three or more people, or someone speaking for five or more people, ask for a public hearing within 30 days of the completed CON application.
  • OHS determines a hearing is necessary to add facts to the record to make its decision.
