What are the charges on my water bill?
Your water bill shows:
- A basic service charge paid by everyone
- A charge based on the amount of water you used. This uses a rate (price) per unit used.
- Other charges. These include the Water Infrastructure and Conservation Adjustment (WICA). Water companies use this charge to pay for making improvements such as replacing old water meters, water mains, and valves.
- The total amount you need to pay.
