Gov. Malloy: Hartford Will be Home to First State Memorial Honoring All Connecticut Veterans
Governor Dannel P. Malloy, joined by Lieutenant Governor Nancy Wyman, Department of Veterans Affairs Commissioner Linda S. Schwartz, state officials, and veterans, today announced plans to build the State of Connecticut's first memorial honoring all Connecticut veterans. The Connecticut State Veterans Memorial will be constructed in Minuteman Park across from the William A. O'Neill State Armory in Hartford and will break ground this fall.

Gov. Malloy: Statewide Emergency Preparedness Exercise to Begin July 28
Governor Dannel P. Malloy today announced that a four-day statewide emergency preparedness drill designed to simulate a Category 3 hurricane will begin on July 28th and run through July 31st. Coordinated by the state's Division of Emergency Management and Homeland Security (DEMHS), the exercise is designed to improve communication between the state's utility companies and state and local governments in the event of an emergency or other natural disaster.
