Esty will visit United Illuminating’s Congress Street Substation in Bridgeport to view resiliency upgrades made at the facility that will protect it from floodwaters during severe weather events.

Gov. Malloy: 3,000 More Connecticut Students Will Benefit From Extended School Time
Meriden, East Hartford and New London students are among the 9,000 students nationwide now in traditional district schools with expanded and redesigned school schedules as part of the TIME Collaborative, a five-state initiative announced last year. Governor Dannel P. Malloy today announced that a second wave of schools, including schools in Bridgeport, Windham and additional schools in Meriden, have already begun to redesign their schedules for the 2014-2015 school year.
