Wednesday: Gov. Malloy Addresses Small Town Officials, Announces Results of Care & Share Holiday Food Drive
On Wednesday morning, Governor Dannel P. Malloy will stop in and give remarks at the Connecticut Council of Small Towns (COST) Municipal Leaders Training Institute, an event intended to provide information to newly elected and returning town leaders about key programs, laws, policies and resources that will be available to them as they begin their new or first term in office.

Gov. Malloy: Additional Names Forwarded as Investigation into Emergency Federal Food Aid Program Continues
Governor Dannel P. Malloy today announced that the Department of Social Services and the Office of Labor Relations has notified several state agencies of an additional nine employees who are suspected of filing false and misleading applications under the D-SNAP program as the state continues its ongoing investigation. In addition, the 15 employees whose names were submitted to agencies last week have been given letters notifying them of the date for their individual administrative hearings.

Gov. Malloy's Counsel Outlines Next Steps in Investigation of Emergency Federal Food Aid Program
Governor Dannel P. Malloy’s General Counsel this afternoon wrote to the commissioners and department heads of each state agency, explaining the forthcoming steps the Malloy Administration and the Department of Social Services (DSS) will be taking in its investigation of possible fraud of the federally funded D-SNAP program by state employees, and instructing the agency heads to fully cooperate.

Gov. Malloy Announces Remaining Appointments to Board of Regents for Higher Education

Gov. Malloy Orders Investigation into Emergency Federal Food Aid Program
Governor Dannel P. Malloy today announced that his administration is investigating multiple incidents of possible fraud against the state by individuals, including state employees, who received federal benefits from the Disaster Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (D-SNAP) after Tropical Storm Irene. The Governor also directed Department of Social Services (DSS) Commissioner Roderick L. Bremby to complete a systematic audit of irregularities in the applications for the emergency aid.

Governor Malloy, Fairfield Officials, DOT Cut Ribbon on New Fairfield Metro Rail Station
Governor Dannel P. Malloy today joined Fairfield First Selectman Michael C. Tetreau and other state and local officials to mark the opening of the Fairfield Metro railroad station. The $90 million station, which will open for commuter service on Monday, December 5, also includes 1,400 parking spaces.
