Tdap vaccine is recommended to be administered to adults who are/will be direct household contacts to infants to help protect, or "cocoon" them from pertussis.
For more information, visit Tdap Cocooning for Pregnant People (CDC) and Vaccines for Family and Caregivers (CDC).
- Adults with insurance may go to their Primary Care Provider (PCP) or go to the pharmacy to receive Tdap vaccine.
- Adults who are under/uninsured can check with their Local Health Department to see if they provide Tdap vaccines to adults who are under/uninsured.
