Governor Ned Lamont today announced that he will be nominating Jodi Hill-Lilly to serve as commissioner of the Connecticut Department of Children and Families (DCF) when the 2024 regular session of the Connecticut General Assembly begins in February. She will succeed Commissioner Vannessa Dorantes, who is planning to leave state service in January to pursue a new opportunity in the private sector.

Governor Ned Lamont today announced that in accordance with a proclamation from President Joe Biden directing flags throughout the United States to be lowered as a mark of solemn respect for the memory of former First Lady Rosalynn Carter, he is directing U.S. and state flags in Connecticut to fly at half-staff beginning at sunrise on Saturday, November 25, 2023, until sunset on the day of interment, which has been scheduled for Wednesday, November 29, 2023.

Governor Lamont Announces New Eligibility Levels Allowed Nearly 10,000 Additional People To Receive SNAP Benefits This Year
Governor Ned Lamont today announced his administration’s decision to increase the income eligibility limits for Connecticut’s Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) effective in October 2022 is allowing an additional 8,959 individuals in 4,980 households to benefit from the program.
