Fraudulent conduct directed against State of Connecticut programs victimizes both Connecticut taxpayers and the beneficiaries the programs were intended to benefit. Other types of fraudulent conduct and unfair business practices prey on Connecticut's consumers. To enhance the State's ability to identify, investigate and prosecute these schemes, we have established a unified fraud reporting website intended as a "one stop" source to make it easier for the public to report fraud. This website will educate you on the various types of fraud, describe the types of conduct that may constitute fraud, and enable you to direct your complaint to the right state agency for appropriate action. This website was created to reinforce the idea that the public can be our best first defense against fraudulent conduct.
