Overview
HACS has offered a dual enrollment program called 'Take Credit!' for over five years. We offer residential and online courses. As a school dedicated to affordable educational opportunities, we've offered Take Credit! at 50% discount of our already low tuition rate of $390 per credit (so a 3-credit hour course for TC! students is $585). Historically we've partnered with homeschools and Catholic high schools.
Programming and Partnerships
HUM 104 - Humanities in the Early Christian & Medieval World
SCM 101 - Mathematics among the Liberal Arts
SAI 214 - History of Christian Iconography
ENG 221 - Novels, Short Stories, & Literary Research
Holy Apostles has partnered with many home-school consortiums and Catholic home-school curriculums, many of which serve families in the state of Connecticut. The school also reaches out to public and private Catholic schools in the Cromwell, Middletown, and general Hartford area.
Student Eligibility
Take Credit! students must have already completed their Sophomore year, and hold a 3.0 GPA. The application requires an essay and one letter of reference.
Instructor Credentials for Concurrent Enrollment Courses
Holy Apostles College and Seminary does not have concurrent enrollment partnerships at this time.
Registration and Fees
All TC! students must apply and be admitted into the program. Registration for courses is done one-on-one with one of the school's undergraduate advisors.
Holy Apostles College and Seminary is accredited by NECHE, and regularly prepares and helps undergraduate students transfer to other in-state institutions.
Take Credit! students are able to take courses at 50% discount of the current institution's credit rate. For the 2022-23 year, the school's tuition rate is $390 per credit hour. So, a TC student can take a 3 credit hour course for $585. A flat $40 registration fee is assessed for each term a student is enrolled. All TC! students receive the same generous discounted rate of $195 per credit hour.
Supports for Multilingual Families
Holy Apostles College and Seminary has a small ESL program to support those students who need additional support. Some staff and administrators are bilingual and are prepared to help families with questions in languages other than English.
