Mission of Social Work Services
The mission of Social Work Services is to make the principles, values, and ethics of the Social Work profession an integral part of the Department of Social Services (DSS) and to ensure that all interventions with DSS clients reflect the best practices of the profession.
We will develop services and methods of service delivery designed to respect the client’s right to self-determination and empower and protect individuals, families and those who are economically disadvantaged or otherwise vulnerable.
We will treat those we serve with respect and strive to assist them to realize their full potential and to actively participate in society.
