Overview

Intermediate Care Facilities for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities (ICF/IID) The Department of Social Services establishes reimbursement methodologies for ICF/IIDs, and development of Medicaid State Plan Amendments that are necessary to obtain federal matching funds. Prospective Rate Letters have been issued to all ICF/IID providers. Please see the file below for rate letters issued to all providers on August 11, 2020.

COVID-19 Information on Medicaid Coverage for ICF/IID Providers

Under Section 17b-340(a) of the Connecticut General Statutes (CGS), the Department has the authority to reimburse ICF/IID facilities for extraordinary and unanticipated costs necessary to avoid an immediate negative impact on the health and safety of residents. In recognition of the current nationwide public health emergency, the Department of Social Services has implemented a temporary Medicaid rate increase effective for the period April 1, 2020 through June 30, 2020.
