myconneCT Important Update
During the month of September, DRS will be rolling out Phase 3 of its new filing and payment platform, myconneCT. This new platform will provide a secure, quick, and easy way to file returns, make payments, and manage your account.
Here’s what to expect:
On Tuesday, September 13, 2022, myconneCT will go live for more tax types, including Individual Income Tax, Gift and Estate, Controlling Interest Transfer, Alcoholic Beverages Tax (Form O-255, previously not available online), and Attorney Occupational Tax. Taxpayers will be able to file tax returns, make payments, view filing history, and so much more using myconneCT!
From now until September 13, 2022, taxpayers may experience delays and should plan for the following to occur, as DRS transitions to its new modernized system:
- The Taxpayer Service Center (TSC) is no longer available for filing Individual Income Tax and Attorney Occupational Tax returns.
- The TSC will continue to accept bill payments and estimated payments by ACH Debit/Electronic payment through September 15, 2022.
- Credit card payments for Individual Income Tax and Attorney Occupational Tax will not be available.
- Effective September 13, 2022, taxpayers will be able to submit credit card payments using myconneCT. To make a credit card payment you must create a myconneCT profile and log in to make those payments.
- Individual Income Tax filers will not receive Modernized e-File (MeF) acknowledgements when returns are filed. Acknowledgements will be sent on or after September 12, 2022.
- The Real Estate Conveyance e-REC portal has been replaced by myCTREC. Submitters and town clerks that file and approve returns electronically can begin to use myCTREC on September 13, 2022.
On September 13, 2022, Individual Income Tax and Attorney Occupational Tax will be available for filing and paying (including credit card payments) using myconneCT.
Please be advised: TSC credentials will not be accepted in myconneCT. You will be required to create a myconneCT username and password.
