Universal cCMV Screening Working Group
Pursuant to Public Act 23-204 Section 192, the Commissioner convened a working group to study issues concerning cytomegalovirus, including but not limited to, screening for cytomegalovirus by other states, treatment for newborns with positive asymptomatic screening results, best practices for universal screening, planning for implementation of universal screening and education for health care providers and vulnerable populations. The group met from October 2023 until April 2024, and will publish their final report no later than January 1, 2025.
