The Emergency Department Boarding and Crowding Working Group

Pursuant to Public Act 23-97, Section 27, the Emergency Department Boarding and Crowding Working Group was established to advise the Commissioner regarding methods to alleviate emergency department crowding and the lack of available emergency department beds in the state. The group began meeting in the fall of 2023, and published its final recommendations in a January 2025 legislative report.

Meeting Schedule

The working group met on the third Wednesday of each month, from 3:00-4:00pm. All meetings were publicly noticed on the Secretary of State's Public Meeting Calendar, in accordance with the Connecticut Freedom of Information Act.
