Lactation consultant licenses expire in the second birth month following issuance and are renewable every two years thereafter.
Licenses are renewed online. Renewal notice emails are sent to licensees approximately 60 days prior to expiration and if not renewed, approximately 30 days following expiration.
At the time of renewal, the licensee will be prompted to upload a copy of their current IBLCE certification document.
There is a 90-day grace period following expiration during which the licensees can continue to practice and renew the license. If the license is not renewed during the 90-day grace period, the license status will change to inactive.
The renewal fee is $200.
