 Environment

environmentEnvironmental factors play a significant role in the health of people with asthma. Ambient air pollutants pose a risk to individuals with asthma. Attention to the quality of indoor environments has grown in recognition. Pollutants can concentrate in the indoor air which can result in significant unhealthy exposures. Biological and chemical exposures found in the indoor environment of homes, schools and workplaces can affect those with asthma. The knowledge of and avoidance of individual environmental asthma triggers is an essential part of asthma management.
