(HARTFORD, CT) – As Connecticut’s farms enter the peak of harvest season, Connecticut Department of Agriculture (CT DoAg) urges farm workers and the public to take proactive steps to prevent injuries and health risks associated with farming activities.

(HARTFORD, CT) – Connecticut Department of Agriculture (CT DoAg) today announced that it has awarded $1,476,000 for 17 projects through the Resilient Food Systems Infrastructure Program (RFSI), funded by U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS). These projects seek to build resilience across the middle of the supply chain and strengthen local and regional food systems.

This year, visitors can explore the rich diversity of Connecticut’s agricultural offerings through an exciting mix of products, education, and hands-on experiences over 17 days.
