CMHC - Mobile Crisis Intervention and Evaluation
The Mobile Crisis Intervention and Evaluation serves as the main portal of entry for the majority of inpatient and outpatient services at CMHC.
Citizens Community Collaborative
The Citizens Community Collaborative is comprised of mental health advocates, researchers, practitioners, scholars, recovery support specialists, people in recovery, civic leaders and community members, all working together to fulfill the promise of social inclusion and full community membership for people with mental health challenges.
CMHC - Community Forensic Services
Community Forensic Services (CFS) is comprised of several community re-entry programs and jail diversion initiatives which provide services for clients with serious mental illness and/or co-occurring substance use disorders who are involved with the criminal justice system.
CMHC - Transitional Living Program
CMHC’s Transitional Living Program is an unlocked 10-bed unit which provides a step-down level of care. Length of stay is individualized, with a focus on accomplishing the tasks necessary to secure housing and to obtain the financial and emotional supports needed to facilitate successful transition into the community.
The Law & Psychiatry division has five components that serve CMHC, the New Haven community, the courts and the Yale School of Medicine.
CMHC - West Haven Mental Health Clinic (WHMHC)
The West Haven Mental Health Clinic is a satellite clinic of the Connecticut Mental Health Center (CMHC) that is the location of the Young Adult Service and the Child and Adolescent Service.
CMHC - ACT (Assertive Community Treatment) Team
The ACT Team provides clinical and case management services to individuals who have serious mental illness, often complicated by substance abuse.
CMHC - STEP (Specialized Treatment Early in Psychosis) Clinic
The STEP Clinic provides comprehensive care to individuals ages 16-35 who are early in the course of a psychotic illness.
CMHC - Hispanic Clinic & CT Latino Behavioral Health System
The Hispanic Clinic provides culturally appropriate and recovery oriented mental health and addiction services to the Latino/a community.
The CMHC Wellness Center provides on-site healthcare and illness prevention services to registered CMHC clients, as well as navigation of other health services and wellness activities offered at CMHC and in the community.
The CMHC Inpatient Service makes admission decisions in consultation with Utilization Management staff from the DMHAS Office of the Commissioner. Residents of catchment areas 5, 6, 7, and 8, comprising the Greater New Haven area, are generally given priority for admission to CMHC’s beds.
CMHC - Abraham Ribicoff Research Facilities
For 30 years, the Abraham Ribicoff Research Facilities have furthered our understanding and treatment of schizophrenia, depression, mania, development disorders, anxiety, stress, and drug and alcohol addiction.
CMHC - PRIME - Psychosis Risk Syndrome Clinic
The PRIME Clinic provides evaluation and treatment of individuals ages 12-25 who show early warning signs of psychosis, also known as Psychosis Risk Syndrome or Clinical High Risk.

LiveLOUD
LiveLOUD was launched to prevent, discourage and destigmatize opioid addiction by reaching those who have been most directly impacted by the opioid crisis and connecting them with the necessary treatment, support and resources so they may begin their path of recovery.
