Multicultural Advisory Council (MCAC)
About MCAC:
In January 1996, Commissioner Dr. Albert Solnit appointed a diverse group of thirty-five mental health and addictions professionals, people in recovery and consumers representing both private and public service providers in the DMHAS treatment system to initiate the DMHAS Multicultural Advisory Council (MCAC). Its mission was and continues to be the multicultural change agent for the DMHAS system of care. The MCAC continues to advise the Commissioner on recommended system changes through the development and execution of the OMHE strategic plan every three years.
