Reservations
Campsite reservations are available through Reserve America. A toll-free number and online system are available to make reservations. More information is available at Campground Reservation Service - CT State Parks and Forests
Access
For current season dates and fees, please view our Camping Areas page. All campers must have a reservation and check in at the camp office upon arrival. Depending on availability, campsites may be available to walk-ins at the camp office. Please call the camp office at 860-739-1339 to confirm current camp office hours. Park areas outside the campground are closed after sunset. Beach and day use areas open at 8:00 AM.
Vehicles
Each camping permit includes parking for a maximum of two vehicles in the park. Each campsite can accommodate a maximum of two four-wheeled vehicles. All wheels, cars, trailers, etc., must remain on the paved surface of the campsite and may not be parked on the grass for any reason. All vehicles and equipment should be backed onto the campsite for safety reasons, and so that parking hangtags are visible.
Visitors and Guests
Visitors may enter the campground from 8:00 AM to sunset and must use designated parking areas. Visitors must leave the park by 10:00 PM. Visitors arriving in out-of-state registered vehicles must pay the daily parking fees.
Quiet Hours
Quiet Hours are observed from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Please respect other campers and refrain from loud conversation, music, or generator operation. Lanterns should be extinguished.
Campfires
Fire rings are provided at each campsite. Fires are allowed only in the fire rings. No ground fires are permitted. Campers may purchase firewood at the camp office. Fireworks, including sparklers, are not allowed in any state parks and forests.
Water
Taps for drinking water are provided at locations indicated on the map. Public health regulations do not permit washing at the taps. Trailer/RV hookups are not available at this campground; water hoses may not be left connected to taps.
Toilets
Each camping circle has a central toilet building with hot showers. Pit toilets and composting toilets are provided in the Tent Area.
Trash
Please sort your trash and place bottles/cans and garbage in the recycling bins provided. Recycling locations are indicated on the campground map. There are many nocturnal animals that frequent the campground. It is therefore advisable to store all food and trash in a secure place overnight.
