Notice of Radioactive Materials and Sources of Ionizing Radiation Permanent Regulation
Notice of a regulatory amendment to adopt a permanent replacement for emergency regulations effective on 25 September 2025 and scheduled to expire on 24 March 2026. In doing so, this proposal maintains the Department’s enforcement authority over the use of radioactive materials and other sources of ionizing radiation. A public hearing was not requested by October 17, 2025, therefore the public hearing originally scheduled for October 30, 2025 has been cancelled. Written comments are due by November 3, 2025.
