CT DEEP Announces Closure of the Niantic River State Boat Launch In Waterford for Parking Lot Line Striping
Connecticut’s Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) today announced that it will be temporarily closing the Niantic River State Boat Launch in Waterford on Thursday, June 15th, 2017 for line striping in the parking lot.

Department of Energy & Environmental Protection Forecasts Continued Elevated Levels of Ozone for Connecticut Tuesday, June 13, 2017
Connecticut’s Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) is forecasting the multi-day ozone event of June 10-12 will continue through June 13 and air quality along Connecticut’s coastline will reach as high as Unhealthy for all segments of the population on Tuesday.

Department of Energy & Environmental Protection Forecasts Elevated Levels of Ozone for Connecticut Sunday June 11 and Monday June 12, 2017
Connecticut’s Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) is forecasting our air quality will be Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups (USG) across the state on Sunday and Monday – another example of why the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) must move forward to protect public health by implementing the latest ozone standard.

Governor’s Greenways Council Presents 18th Annual Greenways Awards
The Governor’s Greenways Council today commended Governor Malloy, five individuals, and a regional planning organization that have made significant contributions to the promotion, development and enhancement of Greenways – linear open space in Connecticut – and designated two new State greenways at a ceremony this morning at the Government Center, in Stamford, CT.
