Emergency Burn Ban In Effect 10/26/24 - An emergency burn ban is now in effect for all Connecticut State Parks, Forests, and Wildlife Management areas, prohibiting the use of all outdoor grills, firepits, and campfires, and the kindling and use of flame outdoors. DEEP and local agencies are working to contain several active fires across the state. Please avoid all affected State Parks and Forests, as well as the blue-blazed Mattabesett Trail. The Enduro Trail in Voluntown and portions of North Stonington within the Pachaug State Forest are closed at this time. Ferry Landing (Old Lyme) CT DEEP Fishing Pier Temporary Closure

Attention anglers, crabbers, wildlife watchers, and nature enthusiasts:

The fishing platform/boardwalk located at the CT DEEP Marine Headquarters at Ferry Landing, Old Lyme is expected to be closed in early Spring 2025 and will remain closed until the completion of the AMTRACK bridge replacement project.

Old Saybrook - Baldwin Bridge State Boat Ramp, South Cove causeway, and Saybrook Point Park.

Old Lyme - Great Island Boat Ramp, Lieutenant River Boat Ramp

East Haddam - Salmon River Cove Boat Ramp

Haddam - Haddam Meadows State ParkEagle Landing State Park - As a condition of the bridge replacement permit, the contractor will rebuild existing fishing pier, which is currently not usable and in disrepair. Demolition of the Ferry Landing pier cannot start until the Eagle Landing pier is completed.
