To achieve needed reductions in transportation-related GHG emissions and pollutants, our collective actions must involve increasing the efficiency of vehicle technology, changing how we travel and move goods, and promoting the use of lower-carbon fuels.

• Residential Buildings

  In Connecticut, residential buildings account for thirty- three percent of total energy consumption. The majority of energy consumption is associated with space heating and cooling, appliances and lighting, and water heating and refrigeration.
