  Eleven states and provinces within the New England Governor’s and Eastern Canadian Premiers (NEG/ECP) region have jointly produced a Regional Climate Change Action Plan.

• Reducing Business/Fleet Transportation Emissions

  Businesses and fleet operators can reduce transportation emissions and there are numerous benefits in doing so.

• Residential Buildings

  In Connecticut, residential buildings account for thirty- three percent of total energy consumption. The majority of energy consumption is associated with space heating and cooling, appliances and lighting, and water heating and refrigeration.

• State and Local Government

  Local and state governments in Connecticut have demonstrated important leadership to address climate change through implementing energy efficiency programs, switching to clean energy sources, and utilizing more fuel efficient vehicles.
