Connecticut law provides the right to end unwanted calls. At the very beginning of the call, you can say “stop” or “I’m not interested,” and the telemarketer must respect your request immediately.
If you ask to be taken off their list or not contacted again, the telemarketer must:
- End the call within 10 seconds of your request.
- Remove your number from their calling list and not call you again in the future.
- Not to share or sell your contact information to anyone else once you’ve asked them to stop.
